A low rise gated community of nine two-story buildings comprising a total 120 Units, complete with pool area and Community Room, forms the Condominium. The properties, completed in the second half of 2005, offer a selection of floor plans each with their own front door leading on to beautifully landscaped areas. Units include 1 bed x 1 bath, 2 bed x 2 bath, 3 bed x 2 bath and 4 bed x 3 bath. Most have deeded carports in addition to assigned car spaces.
The community is set back along a 400 foot drive way from the main Cortez Road (SR 684) which runs East – West from the Manatee River straight to the beaches of Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key which are only 5 miles and 10 minutes drive from Bay Pointe.
Along Cortez Road can be found numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes with a Wal-Mart Supercenter providing 24 hour shopping close by. There are several golf courses ‘ on the doorstep’ including, Pinebrook GC, Heather Hills GC, Timber Creek GC and Manatee GC to name but four. The IMG Academy is less than a mile away.
With close links to I-75, US 41 and US 301 one can enjoy, within an hours drive, the pleasures of Tampa,St Pete Beach and St Petersburg via the Skyway Bridge. Venice, Fort Myers and Naples are readily accessible to the south via I-17.
Tampa International Airport is one hour and the Sarasota/Bradenton Airport is just 15 minutes from Bay Pointe. For the young at heart Busch Gardens is an hour away and the wonders of Disney and the Orlando area are only a two hour drive.
Bay Pointe at Cortez Condominium has a very proactive Owners Board and day-to-day management is contracted out to a specialist Management Company which, together with its owners, ensures Bay Pointe remains the place to live
